XiD uses the latest in design techniques and philosophy when looking at a project. We understand that the internet's purpose is about information first and thus we design with the clients information being the upmost importance. The architecture (i.e. Layout) of that information is therefore very important to us. That is why we use a strict quality design and coding process.
1 Beautiful and simple is our design motto. From the choice of font, to color, to structure, our design process is driven by this philosophy
2 Always use web and accessibility standards. This is vitally important for a website. Because the internet's purpose is information, the reusability of that information is crucial to a website's success. The re-usability of information in different formats on websites such as E-bay, Apple, Facebook, Google apps, Amazon, etc. is a direct contributor to their success. This can only be accomplished with web and accessibility standards in mind.
When we say web and accessibility standards, we are not simply saying, “Your website can be viewed correctly in Safari, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.” We mean that anyone, on almost any platform, through almost any means, should be able to access the information you want out there. Whether that means a person with a vision disability trying to read your information, to someone on a phone trying to check the latest calendar updates, to someone wanting to use an RSS reader to subscribe to the latest news, it will be accessible.
3 Because we believe the internet is about information, we always separate information from design using CSS. This enables our clients to have maxiumum success in expressing their message to the world, through any medium. This also gives our clients the flexibility to cost-effectively do a site re-design if they decide to do so 3-4 years down the road.
4 We follow W3C's guidelines.
5 We make websites that can be updated and modified with ease.
6 We enjoy what we do.
